The panel at the Haus der Land- und Ernährungswirtschaft, focused on the potential of carbon farming and the key issues facing the industry. Hosted by Genius GmbH, the event addressed topics such as the current status of the various branches of the industry in Germany, problems that still await solutions and the potential of the European Commission’s initiative.

The series of events Sondersitzung AGRAR, which deals with the most important agricultural issues of the day, was held last year for the fifteenth time. The Policy Breakfast included presentations, suggestions and discussions around one of the most important climate change mitigation solutions: carbon farming. “The exchange between different stakeholders is enormously important for the progress of the industry. Especially because the technologies are still very young, it moves us all forward to share progress and develop together what needs to happen for carbon removal technologies like biochar to make their contribution to climate protection,” said Caspar Ziegner, Managing Director at NovoCarbo.
