“An innovative solution to remove carbon from the atmosphere, thus limiting global warming and at the same time implementing an economic business model,” said Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’s State Secretary for Economic Affairs Jochen Schulte, praising our Carbon Removal Park Baltic Sea at the opening event in October 2023.

An article by news agency dpa outlines the various positive effects of our latest CDR-Park on climate protection. Among other things, the authors emphasize the advantages of biochar for agricultural soils and explain how our cooperation with the municipal utilities of Grevesmühlen is making the local district heating network greener.

They also highlight the importance of Biochar Carbon Removal and flagship projects such as our CDR-Park Baltic Sea for achieving the climate targets. “In addition to a renewable electricity supply, the expansion of the supply of renewable heat is also of central importance for the success of the energy transition,” underlines State Secretary Schulte.
